Coaching Plans

The planning process:

The personalized coaching model that I have found to be most successful for the athlete contains the following 5 stages integral to the planning process.

1. Identify the main goal
A main objective is the guideline for the training process. The goal has to describe which level the athlete is aiming towards, for example the podium in the National masters championship.
2. Work demand analysis
The work demand analysis describes the demands that is required to perform at a certain level in the athletes sport. The demands get priority depending on how important they are for the performance.
3. Capacity analysis
Capacity analysis defines the athlete present ability and performance level in comparising to the work demand analyzes (to achieve their main goal).
4. Goal setting
Intermediate goals are identified in enroute to achieving the main goal. These goals are developed as markers to evaluate the progress of the athlete in the training plan.
5. Creating short and long period training plans
Training plans can be of any length. The essense of planning requires analyzes and focused re analyzes of the athletes progress. The progress of the athlete in meeting the intermediate goals determents the success of the training plan. Adjustments are made accordingly.

Below are 3 different programs which are markers for the degree of involvement that is offered to the athlete interested in working with me. Every plan will have to be individualized and the athlete may end up in between any of the suggested models below.
All plans require some initial testing and follow up testing every 6 to 8 weeks.

  • Customized Training Plan created based on your specific goals, schedule and needs. Including the frame of the period with percent training time in the different zones, monthly and weekly hours and monthly/weekly “key” workouts outlined.
  • Your coach reviews the plan with you and together you make final adjustments.
  • For the duration of the plan, you communicate with your coach to monitor progress and make adjustments to your plan in order to optimize your training.
  • Consultations with your coach to use at your discretion.
  • The cost of each plan will be based on the individuals need and were on the “scale” of involvement you will be.

Level 2 Program includes

  • All aspects of the Level 1 Plan (see above for details)
